Our team thoroughly inspected a crawl space in Ash, NC, and determined moisture had caused a lot of damage. Insualtion was falling from the ceiling, the floor and walls were damp, mold was growing, and the wood floor joists were rotting. Our crew encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System and used SmartJack Support Posts to ensure it was completely level and stable. We replaced the old insulation with energy-efficient SilverGlo insulation and sealed all vents and openings to the outside. We also installed a dehumidifier to control the humidity in the crawl space.
Dave in Ash, NC contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair because anytime it would rain the crawl space of his home would flood. He was afraid that all of the water entering his crawl space would cause problems such as sagging floors, rotting wood and mold growth.
Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Mike Varano met with Dave to find out the best solution to fix the crawl space of his home. Mike found that the crawl space was flooding from water entering the crawl space from the foundation walls and the best solution would be to install Smart Pipe around the foundation to capture the water coming though along with the CleanSpace Encapsulation System.
Our crew lead by Pedro Mateo and Jason Hines installed the Smart Pipe System around the perimeter of the home along with a full CleanSpace Encapsulation System. By installing both products we are able to protect the home from the harmful effects of water entering the crawl space.
