David contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair because he was experiencing moisture problems in the crawl space of his home in Robeson, NC. The crawl space had an old vapor barrier installed but over the years had shifted, degraded and no longer served its purpose.
Solution
Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair inspector Justin Edwards met with David to go over the crawl space of his home. Justin found that the old vapor barrier had shifted and had open spots in the liner allowing water to enter the crawl space. Also the old vapor barrier did not go up the foundation walls allowing water to enter the crawl space from the walls of the foundation. Our crew installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System! By installing the CleanSpace Encapsulation System we are able to protect the crawl space from water vapor entering the crawl space from the earth's ground. We are also able to protect the crawl space from water entering from the foundation walls by fastening the CleanSpace Liner along the walls of the foundation walls.
