The mold in this crawl space has been unnoticed for too long. This is a perfect example of what will happen if the conditions under your crawl space are not controlled. Mold growth and wood rot are imminent.

Here is another shot of the mold spores and the nasty environment that existed below this homeowner's living room.

The mold in this crawl space was so bad that we had to replace the floor joists as well as the floor all together.

The wood floor was not salvageable and it had to be replaced. Mold and wood rot damage was beyond repair.

The new floor joists are installed but if the crawl space is not encapsulated, these brand new beams would also rot in no time.

Since we had to replace the floor it was easier to install the vapor barrier in this crawl space. This step is usually done underneath the home. Notice the SilverGlo insulation along the wall for extra insulation.

Almost done! After we installed the new floor joists and laid down the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, we finished this project by adding a SaniDry humidifier and simply putting down a new floor.
