SmartJacks with supplemental beans are a great permanent solution for sagging floor joists in a crawl space. Floor joists can sag over time for a variety of reasons including moisture, span is too long or significant additional weight has been added. A supplemental beam supported by SmartJacks solves this problem and takes bounce out of the floors.
John contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair concerned about moisture issues of his Southport, NC home after having a home inspection that suggested having a vapor barrier installed in the crawl space.
Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Ben met with John to go over the crawl space of the home to find the best solution for his issues.
Ben found that most of John's moisture issues were coming from the earth's ground and that the best solution would be to encapsulate the crawl space with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. By encapsulating the crawl space with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System, Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair can help the homeowner lower the relative humidity and keep the moisture out of the crawl space.
